Scottie Pippen accused his former NBA coach Phil Jackson of being a racist on Monday in the latest of act of candor from the Basketball Hall of Famer.
While appearing on “The Dan Patrick” Show, Pippen was asked about recent comments he made to GQ, in which he said Jackson made a “racial move” by not giving him the last-second shot in a 1994 playoff game against the Knicks.

“By saying a racial move, then you’re calling Phil a racist,” Patrick asked Pippen. “I don’t got a problem with that,” Pippen replied, to which Patrick followed up, “Do you think Phil was or is (a racist)?”

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....
The NBA is eating itself alive.
Love it.
Please show me where I said that.
That is no guarantee for a guy they won’t run into problems and trouble if she changes her mind, or she becomes a different person than she started out to be with him.
Kukoc was a better shooter. And if fouled, did you really want Scottie “Deer on the Headlights” Pippin at the free throw line???
Deer in the Headlights
Hahaha, I think it was Rodman’s idea, he always said Pippen
was about as tough as a little girl. Pippen would cringe
and then fake an injury to get out of the game when James
Edwards would scowl at him. Pippen was pitiful, but he would be a perfect fit in today’s crappy NBA.
If Phil Jackson’s response is anything other than some variation of “Fck off”, it will linger around him for years.
“No black player ever took the winning shot in any of Jackson’s 11 final’s victories.”
Really? Not even MJ? If true, that is amazing.
Did Scottie Pippen ever shoot anybody or attack anybody? Not that I know of. He may be an idiot, but if anything, he’s kind of a wimp.
I was being facetious. I believe one of the winning shots was by MJ, against Utah, when he had the flu.
Was he a member of the NRA when he was charged for illegal possession in 1994? You seem obsessed with the NRA for some reason. Do NRA members regularly carry illegal weapons? Whether he ever shot anyone doesn’t matter. The fact is that in 1994, he felt he didn’t have to follow the same laws as the rest of us.
What one might expect from a player with a big talent and an even bigger ego who spent the best years of his career playing in the shadows of a superstar still bigger than that talent and ego put together.
Maybe they should’ve run the picket fence for him, just to ease the butt hurt.
I don’t see what defense Jackson can have. He is white, after all.
Thanks.
“ippen was advised even by the Bulls owner to not sign that long-term deal, but he was worried about getting hurt and wanted the security. It cost him millions in the long run. “
Think tens of millions. Phil probably made at least a passing remark, “good for your family’s security” and of course his starting lineup.
Pippen is never getting over that.
“Looks like his first born kid died recently. That’s probably a factor in his attitude.”
Did not know that. If true, all if forgiven. My heart goes out to the Pippen family. That’s awful.
He signed that contract freely, willingly, and of his own volition. Should have hired a better agent at a minimum.
And that was no easy shot. Kukoc had a Knick hanging all over him and still made it.
Yeah, it was always Luc Longley (no, never!), or Bill Wennington (no way!) or John Paxson (yes for sure at least one time).
