It used to be somewhat tasteful but quirky with a monotone adobe red color. This buyer has REALLY ruined it.
CalTrans needs to build a scenic rest stop on 280 so you can pull over and “enjoy” the view.

It’s a pretty strange place, but the point of owning property is you can largely do what you like with it. I always enjoy seeing private citizens sticking it to annoying bureaucrats.
This is a good win for private property rights.

Here it is when she started the transformation...

Here is the BEFORE she bought it and went nuts. It had gotten somewhat rundown and the landscaping went to pot. The woodland setting looks nice, but that's a shot from the Interstate.

Is that the place in Hillsborough? It’s been there forever. It used to be white.

Wish I had a yabba daba doo house in my subdivision. Without the theme park. It would make walking the dog much more cool.

The only harm I can see to anyone else is gawkers creating traffic. Since she didn’t actually do any construction (except maybe repair work), I can’t imagine that the town has a case: there’s no regulation against garish colors. Mind you, if Florence Fang was a transsexual who painted everything to look like breasts and penises, she’d be given the key to the city. But straight people can’t have any fun.

Not going to lie, the house does stick out like a sore thumb in what is otherwise a picturesque vista along Interstate 280. But good for her winning her suit and defending her property rights.
I actually can't believe that the commies around here haven't pulled first-down father, the statue of Junipero Serra that's nearby on 280 in Hillsborough. You'd think this would have been gone a long time ago.

Do you have a prior picture?

I would not care if that monstrosity of a house is 5 blocks away from me. Living next-door would be out of the question.

Sorry. I saw the later picture. The prior landscaping looks much better as well.
