It was hard to find anyone on our side suggesting the benefits of eliminating the filibuster. We need to be more open to the ideas-at least.

Who is kidding whom here? Of course the d’s will try to abolish the filibuster when they are in hte majority, but they will ignore the same loss when they are the minority. It’s just how they work: Rules for thee, not for me!

Every change only serves the enemy. And everything they would accomplish in the next 2 1/2 years will never be rolled back. No matter what kind of congress we get. The DC swamp ratchet system allows globalism, environmentalism, and communism to move forward a notch of the time, but never go back..
The first order of business in a new GOP congress should be an all-day discussion/vote on ending the filibuster. Do it on a Saturday to show they’re not wasting more valuable time. Select GOP senators spend 10 weeks beforehand ‘promising’ to do just that. Watch how it will effect the NFL playoff watching. The left is good at throwing monkey wrenches into the machine. Think kneeling, Dr. Fauci, BLM-all attention whores. We can play the same game.
D.C. statehood. I’d like to think we shouldn’t have to worry about it because it’s not allowed constitutionally. Will that stop them? You know the answer so we may have to preemptively give those voters the right to vote on Maryland. It’s wrong but it would keep them from pushing the issue. They have us on the run otherwise.
The Democrats will end it next time they have unified govt with a few spare senate seats and ram hone some terrible laws with voter fraud being #1 and amnesty and GND as #2 and #3 in either order and court packing as a wild card.
#1 will probably get struck down by SCOTUS unless they pack the court to prevent that, which could happen.
There will be some voter backlash but will be mostly blunted by all the election rigging.
How the disenfranchised red staters respond to being deliberately locked out of setting national policy is anyone’s guess. I’d like to say that some of the normal states would peel away but secession is fraught with risk and never underestimate people’s willingness to put up with a miserable authoritarian govt if your personal situation is mostly comfortable.
