I am not buying the 2 for 3 study. It is wildly out of step with everything else that I have been seeing.

When I skimmed through it, I saw a consistent pattern of cherry picking data, to ensure the most anti-vaccine outcome possible. Agenda driven.

For percentages of adverse vaccine reactions, they chose to use the Dutch reporting system to represent all of Europe, even though that system was the single most extreme outlier of all the European reporting systems- almost twenty times the rate of the German system, for example.

When calculating the benefits of vaccination, they reduced the effectiveness of vaccination, by not using fully vaccinated effectiveness, but deliberately watering it down, by averaging fully vaccinated effectiveness, with the effectiveness measured at other partially vaccinated points in time (like one week after the first shot, when effectiveness is near zero).

And then, to further artificially minimize the benefits of vaccination, they based it on only the 4-6 week assessment window used in the expedited trials. Clearly, vaccine induced immunity persists well beyond that window, and will continue to strongly protect against many, many times more cases, hospitalizations and deaths over the ensuing weeks and months (depending on how the disease is spreading at the time).

They explicitly acknowledge these concerns (in the body of the paper, so it can pass peer review) - but you would have to read the paper to see how dramatically skewed it was, by the methods they explicitly adopted. Yes, if you adopt those methods, you get that result, the reviewers can confirm. Everybody else is going to just read the summary, and walk away with the 2 for 3 headline however, which I think is a ridiculous mis-representation of the real situation.

We have over 600,000 dead from COVID in the USA. Do we have 400,000 dead from the vaccine, as 2 for 3 would predict? 100,000?

Out of the few thousand reports in VAERS of people who died after having received vaccination, I think it likely that the great bulk were coincidental deaths, rather than caused by the vaccine. And of those few actually killed by the vaccine, I believe the great majority were simply too frail to withstand the stress of any immune challenge.

The oldest and sickest were vaccinated, including almost the entire nursing home population (whose life expectancy is in the months anyway) - even hospice patients were vaccinated in significant percentages. A cold draft would kill some of those.

Nowadays, over 99% of the Americans who die from COVID each day (down to about 300-400/day) are people who failed to get fully vaccinated.

It is obvious to me that the protective effect of the vaccines dwarfs (by many orders of magnitude) the fatal side effects that so rarely occur.
