Actually, plants have a day cycle and a night cycle. Day cycle - CO2 in O2 out, night cycle - O2 in CO2 out. Typically, the day cycle out weighs the night cycle.

Actually, the two processes are referred to as photosynthesis and respiration.

Photosynthesis requires a light source. Respiration occurs 24 hours a day.

Yes, photosynthesis during the day and respiration at night. I got them reversed.

Pretty sure they still teach it properly in STEM oriented programs (I hope).
