I have a copy of an old Newsweek (I think) article from 1970’s about the coming global cooling crisis. In that article they were quoting scientists who were recommending dusting the ice caps with coal dust to make them darker and thus affect the climate. That was equally nuts.
I remember reading about dusting the ice caps with coal dust to stop THE COMING ICE AGE!
