A somali cop, who killed Justine Damond, got 12.5 years and will be released as soon as the public forgets about it.
I would imagine that he’ll be separated from the general population.

In fairness, the legal doctrine of ‘separate sovereign’ is more than 170-years old. The state is sovereign as is the federal government.
You can kidnap a person in one state, drag them to another state and be in criminal peril in both states and federally, all for essentially the same crime.
I don’t think the federal prosecution of Chauvin makes any sense or is justified. But, that doesn’t mean it’s ‘double jeopardy.’
The Judge is a lying bastard. This entire case was based upon emotion, public opinion. the opinion ginned up by the lying media. The application of law and fairness had nothing to do with it. The lying Judge does not believe the bullshit he is spouting himself.
I am not sure how the mob will react to this sentence. Will there be rioting and looting in the streets, or will there be dancing and twerking? Will the mob be happy or angry? Either way it seems like a good enough reason to steal some stuff in memory of Saint Floyd!
It will be overturned on appeal. They know it but are giving the mobs what they want to appease them and quell the riots for.

Don't want to foul this site. The Robinson's may not be too happy. Suffice to say that most commenters thought 22 years was much too short a sentence. One comment has actually been posted here. One person wrote that "his [Floyd's] life was worth much more than 22.5 years."

Thanks. It’s nice that they doled out his sentence on a Friday so the animals have the whole weekend to take advantage of the “injustice” they’ll claim occurred.

While in a protective custody section of the prison, Derek Chauvin was found beaten to death in his jail cell. Officials had no comment only stating his death is under investigation.
“He’d be lucky to last 30 minutes in prison”
The White Gang, if one even exists, may (or may not) give him some cover. He might have to do them special, ahumm, favors though.
He won’t recognize the country when he gets out.

Dan White only got 8 or 9 years for killing two heroes of the Left, Harvey Milk and George Moscone. But Derek Chauvin could not claim that he had been eating Twinkies.
