One caveat: Half of the children 18 and under are minorities as defined by the USG. Each cohort that turns 18 annually will be more minority than the previous one. Has the military decided that the future will consist of a minority dominated military? Non-Hispanic white males need not apply.
And they will still be called "minorities" when they outnumber us - even when they vastly outnumber us.
I hear this term a lot in Southern California where Whites are a clear minority - yet we are still referred to as the "majority."
