Most companies would be crazy to even consider this. It’s one thing to have a shop dog or a junk store cat, but I don’t see office space with the potential for multiple workers to bring a dog or cat to work with them. There will be fights and bites.

Pets are not comparable to service animals which are extensively trained to ignore other people and animals and to focus on their human.

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: Yes, and it also means attending office meetings in your underwear and perhaps even enjoying a "matinee" with your spouse now and then during office hours.
