Nuclear reactors can provide the electricity to power the EVs we are going to be stuck with in only a few years. Mandaing full EV in some absurd amount of time like 10 or 15 years will put demands on the generating system way beyone any projected capacity without putting up new Nuke plants which are cheaper to build and safer hen before.

We don’t have the amount of copper to transmit the amount of electricity needed to owner vehicles.

I proposed that Osamabama, take a Trillion dollars in 2009 when he was looking at stimulating the economy. Build 100 Nuclear power plants, and the power lines to carry the juice to the cities. That would be about $400 Billion for the plants, and $200 Billion for power lines, with $400 Billion for graft.
All of the production would be online by now, with hydro and nukes to cover business uses with enough left for homes. The Gas and Diesel would then be best used for cars, trucks and trains in My perfect world.
