These are not deaths. Typically, they are temporary palpitations or chest pain.
I repeat. I don’t trust those numbers whether they are fatalities or “complications” or hospitalizations...And I’m sure for some people, they do have a complication but not noticeable enough yet until something happens in life later down the line. :(
Myocarditis/Pericarditis is not mere heartburn! It can have major long term ramifications. It’s not worth the gamble considering the AGE GROUP and they have DIFFERENT immune systems than older and elderly people! So the shots need to be adjusted! IF GIVEN AT ALL (which at this experimental stage is an absolute NO!) It is the responsibility of the OLDER members of society to PROTECT the younger. Not sacrifice the young!

So to do that best, we would need to find the margin where risk versus benefits of vaccination shift from net gain to net loss.
COVID is not without cost. It kills members of this age group (up to 29 years old in this case, we are not talking about infants or toddlers or pre-pubescent children at all). These few hundred reports out of millions of vaccinations are overwhelmingly mild and temporary reactions.
If it is our responsibility not to sacrifice the young (to COVID-19 either), we should vaccinate them, if it saves more than it costs.
For some perspective. The incidence of myocarditis is estimated at 22 per 100,000. And no, that’s not the vaccine, that is the disease itself. So roughly, 10X the risk if infected with COVID.

Given the polls that show that 40% of Republicans won't take the jab, the powers that be may try compulsion. But that may be difficult in flyover country.
I have observed that rural Texas is mostly mask-free, with the few masks seen worn by minority group members for the most part. In Dallas, the further north of 635 and the Bush Turnpike you go, the lower the percentage of face diapers. With Governor Abbott facing a conservative challenge in the Republican primary, I doubt he will be willing to reimpose the masks.

Covid causes many more cases of myocarditis, almost everyone admitted with it has abnormal cardiac enzymes. Pericarditis and myocarditis are usually self limited and do not have long term consequences - sounds like 2 people did get quite sick with it. As I have said. score and you agree there is no reason to vaccinate children. Males 18-30 should probably be looked at on a case by case basis for risk benefit; their risk from covid is not 0.
If that were the case then vaccinate them safely not Willy nilly! Their immune systems are highly active and a high or overly rushed regimen can do far more harm than good.

What I thought intriguing about today’s meeting is that there was, apparently, no input from the trials presently going on on youngsters for the vaccines.
