Defensive lineman, no less - talk about a position that will beat you up! Interesting he started out in ENJJPT (basically an instructor pilot gig - one of my squadrons was at Sheppard AFB - I’m assuming he was a FAIP) and ended up in Warthogs. He would have to request the combat tour and training. That’s not a guy who’s doing his 4 years just looking to get out.

Actually, he was a UPT student at ENJJPT, then upon graduation he received the A-10. It was said he got the A-10 because he could fit in it.
