Watch the oral arguments in the case of Duncan v. Becerra, which is reviewing Judge Benitez's 2019 ruling that California's ban on firearm magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds is unconstitutional.
Judge Benitez's ruling was upheld 2-1 by a three judge 9th Circuit panel in 2020.
This panel is stacked 7-4 against freedom.
Assuming they overturn Benitez, we have to hope SCOTUS takes the case in a year or two.
Too bad Benitez isn’t 20 years younger. Someone like him on the Supreme Court would make heads explode. He is the strongest 2A judge I’ve ever seen, and he doesn’t hide it.
The 9th has a decent record on 2nd Amendment cases.
Nothing else.
Do they post transcripts, like the supreme court does?

LOL. OK My bad. I did a search on the page for Becerra, not Duncan.
They do, but I believe you need a log-in in order to retrieve them.
The name of the case goes both ways, because the California Attorney General changed.
