I don't know. You tell me. There's been at least 27 studies. The one that I looked at briefly this morning, indicated a 80% effectiveness rate at preventing the illness and a 65% improvement when given when you were in the early stages of the illness.
That's less than the vaccine which is alledgely 95% effective at prevention. But it comes with no side effects except some minor well understood drug interactions.
In any event, most people don't have access to hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin. The government right or wrong (almost certainly wrong) has chosen to block that treatment alternative.
Thus, the choice most people face is to get the vaccine or not. The alternative course of prevention/treatment with these drugs is simply not available to them. It is what it is.
The government should make those drugs available along with current understanding of the effectiveness of them and guidance on their use. Let people make their own decisions.
