I tip the same, but recently have stopped eating out.

When Subway asks for tips, you aren’t going to be a viable business for long. A Sub sandwich with drink is pushing $15, and I like my cooking better.

I've noticed that restaurants are now asking for 20% tips for carry out. If you order online, they just sort of tack that on to the total automatically.

I am puzzled as to why I should tip for carry out. What service have I been rendered aside from their handing me a paper bag? Worse than that, I have learned through experience that I have to pull everything out of that bag on the spot to check it for completeness. If I don't, the chances are high that when I get home, I'll discover something missing.
