OK, before we drill down into what the major factors are that are the cause of these increase in mortality, can we first agree that THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN MORTALITY compared to the average of previous years? If we can’t even agree on this, then we can’t even presume to determine the major factors behind the mortality increase.

It is not healthy nor wise to believe in any fedgov "figures" (regardless of department). Just my perspective on the matter, YMMV...
