Just thinking out loud. Young and pretty(those things count). Wheelchair-bound(inspirational) He'll get the female vote as they'll want to be the ones who 'take care' of him. This article he wrote made me think of about it. It shows he's into details and will put himself out there in an appealing manner. Tillis is up in '26 and Cawthorne will be 30 in '25. President DeSantis should offer Tillis an ambassadorship to the country of his choice so that a (hopefully) republican N.C. governor can appoint him without campaigning for it. Incumbency in '26 means less travel in the wheelchair. If a smooth, black POTUS can appeal to our victimhood 2 can play this game.

Cawthorn is not well-loved by America First. He appears to be someone like Charlie Kirk who is just right of RINO.

It seems to be his election opponents and the big city elites and RHINOs who are bad mouthing him and taking a few comments out of context.
One FR commenter on the related link you posted actually called him “gay”. Crawthorn is married to a very lovely Christian woman.

Looks like I started something. I don’t know the truth about Crawthorn so the Tar Heels must decide. If there’s another in ‘26(long way off) there’s 5 years to go. As for Tillis he will have been there for 12 years-stale. That’s my threshold for putting up with rinos-people like Thune. When it’s the best we can do I’m all for them overstaying their welcome(Collins). NC is somewhere in-between. Tillis is in the old-white-guy club. There’s nothing like holding your nose and voting for someone you despise only to see him lose(Chaffee)-a possibility. I think a POTUS like Trump or DeSantis can keep them in line, especially with a new Majority leader more to our liking-Cruz.
