They don’t last forever. $1-6K according to this site. Life is variable depending on use of course.

The batteries cst as much as the damn car and NO they do not last forever by the time you get the $80,000 car paid of you will probably have to replace the batteries!! A HUGE boom for the auto industry!! Of course the CCP comes out way ahead too they make the batteries!!

Don’t worry about that. China controls most of the world’s battery production. So batteries will always be available, and at a reasonable price...just don’t upset China in any way.

But should you upset China, better figure out a way to attach a team of horses to the front of your electric car.
