Is people are so fanatical about rescuing dogs that they have to rescue them from overseas now?

What is the incredible cost behind flying a mutt meant for euthanasia to the US from Azerbaijan?
Can we make the dogs infect the stupid people involved?

We are quickly becoming the most stupid nation on earth. According to the ASPCA they euthanize 670,000 dogs a year. We don’t have enough rescue dogs? We have to import them from former Soviet block countries?

Seems to me we have many animals right here needing to be rescued. Why the ‘H’ import them?

So they’ll investigate a dog with rabies.
But won’t investigate the deadliest virus to sweep the planet. Deadlier than Ebola, HIV, Hep C, and anything else anyone can name.

Untrue to say rabies eliminated in the US. Rabies is still found in bats and racoons as well as other wild animals.

There are plenty of dogs that need rescuing right here. And they will have been vaccinated against rabies.
We don’t like to watch the end of Old Yeller over and over again. Travis did what he had to do. Even though it hurt him deeply. Sorry, love that movie.
I think that I lived in the Old West in a former life.
