My sister had a 1965 Chrysler Newport.
We could sneak 6 people into the drive-in in the trunk.
Used to have a ‘57 Chrysler 353 hemi back when gas was 33 cents a gallon. Back when the attendants pumped your gas, checked the oil, water, and tire pressure. You were free to take a whizz, get an Orange Crush and a bag of Uncle Tom’s Peanuts. It were a big car.
“How big was it?”
It were so big It had a tennis court in the back seat, a swimming pool in the trunk and a helipad on the roof. I was driving from cross Texas once and my front bumper was in Abilene while my tail fins were still in Texarkana. It took three counties just to turn that car around.
