I know a farmer out in OK panhandle. He has gps steering on his new tractor. He uses it to grow feed corn . He plants by the section. That’s 640 acres. He still has to turn the tractor at the end of the field. It doesn’t turn its self. The gps just makes straight rows.
Most still plant corn in circles. Easier to irrigate.

A guy I worked with put up a corn maze.
IIRC they made a GIS file and hired a service to do the work.
I was under the impression the operator just kept an eye out for wet spots and other possible problems?
