The Japanese don’t have a lot of patience with wildlife attacking humans. Local hunting clubs in the rural areas spring into action when they get these calls. Wild boars and even the famous snow monkeys can get gunned down when they chose to make a nuisance of themselves.
Different story in places like India or Thailand, where they worship the Monkey, and almost never discipline those very aggressive little animals.
