"Eastern Pacific Ocean?"

Yes, which means off the western coast of the Americas. As opposed to the Western Pacific, which means over by China, Japan, Philippines, etc..

Makes perfect sense if you are mapping the Pacific Ocean only. But if you do a typical map which splits the world near the international dateline, then the Western Pacific Ocean is to the west of that line, starting with the Bering Straight and working south to the Aleutians and points further south and the Eastern Pacific Ocean works starts with Siberia and works to the Kurile Islands (Chishima Reito in Japanese) and points further south.

Ironically, the world map published most commonly published in Japan splits the world along roughly the Ural Mountain Range and has the Pacific Ocean, not the Atlantic, in the center of the map. What we would call the Middle East on our most common version of the map would be on the far eastern edge of the Japan version and the Indian subcontinent would be on the western edge of theirs.

So it is a matter of perspective.
