We can ask with one hand and wish in the other. The Stupid Party, as currently constituted and run, will not do that.

How about the party of truth? I have been fed a steady diet of lies by the Uniparty (R) for fifty years. If only Trump had realized what a pack lying, backstabbing vipers he was associating himself with when he joined the Uniparty (R). It was not the Uniparty (D) that destroyed Trump, the constitution and MAGA. The fifth columnists in Trump’s administration and Congress are responsible. You cannot reform the Uniparty (R) without somehow eliminating 95% of Uniparty (R) politicians and bureaucrats in DC. Ask Trump what happens when you attempt to encroach upon the Uniparty (R) swamp in DC.

Asking anything of the GOP is asking too much. The party puts on a thin veneer of conservativism every election cycle and goes on to serve the interests of the Uniparty.

IF they had an ounce of principles, courage and conviction they could easily build a platform around one thing: reducing the size and power of what has become an overbearing government. But I have zero confidence in the GOP to do anything supportive of conservative values and beliefs.

The GOP has a golden opportunity in 2022. But even if they somehow (miraculously) take control of the House and Senate nothing that fundamentally changes the government’s power and control over citizens will be different.

The GOP just is what it is.

To do this, Republicans have to reject billionaire money. The current crop who were put in place with billionaire money will thus have to disappear from the scene.

There is no scenario under which a McConnell/Graham/McCarthy-led party can become a party of liberty. A Trump-led party had some chance of accomplishing this...and look what happened.
