I remember back in the 1980s or so watching a baseball(MLB)gameon TV.The home plate ump was sweeping off home plate and turned around to get into position behind the plate and fell face first dead from a heart attack.

I remember that as well. It was Opening Day, and as I recall, he was also massively overweight.

John Sherry. Calling a Cincinnati game. Marge Shott, owner at the time, asked if it would interfere with the game being played.

Of course, John was about 120 lbs. overweight.

Remember Hank Geathers, of Loyala Marymount. He stopped taking his medication, to play basketball, collapsed on the court.
