When I was an EMT the saved rate was 2%. It’s a little better now with the new portable defibrillators.

I was Advanced Life Support.
Our save rate was about 1%.

The inner city (Detroit) had a lot factors with a AMIs, Arrest, etc.

For some reason as populated as Detroit is the down time was long. People weren’t aware someone was down for a few minutes. Very odd.

And street drug use……..hard to combat. Never knew what exactly they used.

The Suburbs are so different in both regards. Someone down, people noticed right away. Drug use/over dose, someone knows all about that too and willing to to tell you.
