Dying WITH covid is completely different than dying FROM covid. They’re still not counting each category correctly.
not to dismiss your argument, my FRiend, but this is politics now. Trump was smeared with a claim of mismanagement causing 300K deaths in a year. Now, in less than six months, a similar bloody crown of 300K sits on Biden’s head. And I intend to rub the Dems’ noses in every death, whether it’s with or of.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the dems will try very hard to downsize the numbers to make Biden look better. But to do that, they’d have to downsize last year, too, something they’d be loathe to do because it would make Trump look not so bad after all. In the meantime, they’re painted into a corner so let them wallow in the humiliation of their very obvious and very public failure to control the pandemic they ran on ending.
Well, yes, but where do you draw the line? If someone who died had viral pneumonia and tested positive for covid, do you agree that he died from covid?
It’s not true that most people who died from/with covid would have died within months anyway. Where I live there lives a man is his 60s who climbs the highest mountain in the region (4,341 ft) every day (sometimes even several times a day). He dresses very lightly even in winter (without a T-shirt). We can say he is in top form for his age. He had covid and it was no walk in the park. He didn’t have to be hospitalized, but he had a very high fever for 10 days. If someone is in his 60s, covid can turn serious very easily, but such people can normally expect to live 5-15 more years.
