No government, nation, race, religion, institution, or person is flawless. While I am generally supportive of Israel, I dislike very much the extreme degree to which numerous pro Israel organizations and people go to censoring any criticism of the country and its people. After all, Israel did attack the USS Liberty, it constantly spies on the United States government (Jonathan Pollard is a prime example) and US corporations, and it collaborates with China, often to the detriment of US interests.
I frequently see reasoned and legitimate criticisms of Israeli policies condemned as antisemitic. I tire of this reflexive attempt to squelch criticism just as I disdain the constant cries of racism anytime a conservative disagrees with leftist policies in the US.
A free republic dies when liberty is restricted by government and institutions. Those you cannot criticize, control you. If Kushner did what this article purports, he is no supporter of freedom for the individual.

There is room to be critical of Israel. Personally I don’t like how the U.S. taxpayer subsidizes their military to a degree via “foreign aid” and believe they should stand on their own two feet (many Israeli’s agree with this)..
We have had spirited debates here about it and it has never turned nasty or hateful.
