Teacher quits union over its pro-BDS stance June 9, 2021

A North Hollywood middle school teacher quit her local labor union because it’s considering support of the pro-Palestine BDS movement, a report said.

Lindsey Kohn of James Madison Middle School said she in a heated resignation letter that she felt “unsafe as a Jew” in the United Teachers Los Angeles, the Jewish Journal reported on Tuesday.

I have no experience with the UTLA teachers' union, but I certainly do with NY's UFT teachers' union. It is a hard left commie-flavored organization. So I can well imagine how this teacher felt paying dues to a bunch of commie ignoramuses supporting terrorists who murder innocents, bomb schools and hospitals, store their own bombs under their own schools and hospitals. And I'm glad her action brought their disgusting "motions" to light. Based on an economy-sized pack of absolute lies in the media, this moronic union decided to support people who are actually the aggressors in this case. I'm sure the UFT is doing the same. Glad to be retired and out of NY.

My wife and I are good friends with a husband and wife who are Iranian Jews living in California. Our former home where we were both born and raised.
We have many family and friends still living there. These two good friends tell us they have been threatened on numerous occasions in recent months. They are afraid to go to Synagogue and being targeted for violence knowing that the authorities will do nothing to protect them or help them if they are attacked.
They do not leave the state because all their children live there. They both have very high-paying jobs there.
And, live very comfortable lives but, they are totally distressed by what is happening in California regarding themselves as Jews and also to what is happening to Asians as well.
They are in shock to how fast the tide has turned against them simply because of their faith. Their deepest fear is, America could become the next NAZI Germany.

I think there are many Jewish teachers...Most of them are liberals...I am glad that at least one Jewish teacher is speaking out against the union for being anti-Israel...

There is no more agency fee any longer because of a U.S. Supreme Court decision...A teacher’s union cannot force a teacher to pay money to the union if he/she is not in the union...

Indeed. This couple and their children live in Orange County. A coastal town which I will not name.
My wife and I quit our jobs, sold our OC home and packed up the kids and moved away when it became obvious that Moonbeam was going to be elected Governor. We saw the statewide trend and decided to relocate to the Gulf Coast of South Florida. We haven’t regretted this decision for a moment.
We fly back to visit family and friends once a year.

Sometimes, the union ‘needs to be reminded’ that they can no longer siphon labor union dues even though the employee does not want to join. One has to pay attention to each paycheck and all questionable deductions.

So many people are now just going along, to get along.. The beat-downs have already started.. Soon, in some cities and maybe even states, certain people won't be allowed to walk on the sidewalks.. And there will be those who will scream out "BUT, I'M A DEMOCRAT, AND I HAVE ALWAYS VOTED FOR THE DEMOCRATS.!!"

America... It's no longer about freedom and law and order. America, the Republic no longer exists.. It's now all about "Democracy" and the tyranny of the majority..
