When people with cancer or heart disease accidentally die in an auto accident.
Do we list their death as “died with cancer” / “died with heart disease”, and then mark it as a cancer or hear disease death?
Answer: No it is marked as a death from an auto accident. That’s the way it has been done for a very long time.
Yet for some odd reason we do not do that with Covid? Did you know that George Floyd’s death is listed as Covid death?
so that should be the defense for the police officer.
George Floyd’s death was ruled a homicide by the coroner. He was on there at the trial. I think it was a dubious call, but that was his call. Not Covid.
This has been addressed often. Excess Deaths are the gold standard. Of all causes. 2020 had about 25% more deaths of 65+ people of all causes vs pre virus years’ average.
25% is MORE than the official Covid death count for last year.
The virus is a scythe, and its mutations will be worse. Don’t obsess over death attribution. Spend time with Excess Deaths and obsess over numbers thereof.
