Nice stuff, cheap, I can’t stomach this crap.

I'm certain there are optics made in America that the military uses. They likely cost several thousand dollars and the military buys countless numbers and throws them away when they break.
I remember when color TVs were made in America. A color TV was a significant family investment that cost 2-3 months wages for an average middle-class household.
A Chinese-made 65" 4k TV today might cost a week's wages and by the time it breaks, it's already obsolete.
