Sorry, DeSantis did shut down Florida. He wasn’t as bad as other governors, but he bought into all the bull crap over the Chi Com Flu and did not value individual responsibility, personal freedom and liberty.
C’mon man... he did shut the state down NOT KNOWING anything more than anyone else did at the time, BUUUUUTTTTT he conducted a snappy about-face when FACTS started coming out and he hasn’t looked back since.
Wasn’t his shutdown relatively brief and encompassing only bars and restaurants?
If you want serious shutdown, come to Maryland. They only fully opened back up a little earlier this year, and masks are still required on public transit and in at least some health facilities.

I was in FL at the height of the "shutdown" and it wasn't a patch on a blue state. Basically Disney/MK were shut down, and "wear a mask in Publix". Other than that, same old, beautiful same old.
And that was it. I posted beach cams almost daily from New Smyrna ... I'm in some of these lofl ...
