I flew on a 737 Max back in 2019 on a flight from DFW to TPA. It was a nice experience overall. This was all before the first set of issues.

I flew on one for the first time about a month ago. It was a nice, comfortable, and quiet ride.

Southwest equipped their 737 Maxes with colored LED lights in the cabin. The cabin kept cycling through red, purple, blue, orange and white light. It was ULTRA-annoying. I can’t imagine why anybody would think that would be pleasant or relaxing. It was like some little kid ordered the multi-color LED lighting option and some little kid in the e-suite ordered the flight attendants to change cabin colors all the time.

It reminded me of the early days of WYSIWYG “desktop publishing” when people put every font imaginable into a document. Just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD do it.

As long as the planes stay in the air, it’s a minor complaint.
