All because Trump said HCQ might be useful in treating the Chinese disease.

Fauci was already very rich, so his motive may simply have been anti-Trump politics.
Pence was in charge of the overall COVID response and was also aware of HCQ early on. What did Pence know, and when did he know it?

6 media companies and a handful of people gave the marching orders to bad mouth the known cures and belittle people who correctly pointed out how useless a mask is for a virus.
