from the article..I just thought they should have put it in the headline.
The price of lumber in the U.S. has tripled during the coronavirus pandemic, adding thousands of dollars to the cost of a new house.
they do mention additions and remodels in passing...
and I suppose because people can't now afford a new home, they are going after existing homes driving the price up...so I guess, indirectly, the rise in lumber affects existing homes.
