The era here which I grew up in was wonderful despite those singular events which affected few people
Worst part of 72 was Vietnamization whereby we were giving up and leaving Indochina having sacrificed 60,000 kids for a just cause politicians and some flag officers would not allow to be won.

That other stuff the poo poo party brings up simply did not affect most folks....even though I too was shocked by the Manson murders and am to this day

It was a great time to be alive...early 70s...I loved it
Yep, even with the hippies in the 60s and 70s...CA was paradise back then compared to now. Now it’s just flat out scary in every direction.

Good men make Good Times <-—50s
Good times make Weak Men <-—60s
Weak men make Hard Times <-—started mid 70s
And the cycle repeats.
