President Joe Biden took Thursday off to celebrate first lady Jill Biden's 70th birthday at their vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
The Bidens planned for a "quiet" day together in the beach town without family and friends, Michael LaRosa, the first lady's spokesperson said, according to the Associated Press. The first lady was already at the beach house when Biden arrived on Wednesday night, per the AP.
The first couple started their morning in "sunny and warm" 66-degree weather and spent part of the afternoon biking along the Gordons Pond Trail at Cape Henlopen State Park surrounded by Secret Service, the White House press pool reported. When asked if he enjoyed the ride, Biden responded to reporters: "Yes."
They are expected to return to the White House on Friday.

It will take the better part of a century to melt the Greenland ice cap and the Antarctic ice sheets which if both melted would raise sea levels 200 meters. It’s not a linear melt it speeds up as the ice sheet thermal mass shrinks. For the next two decades even if maximum possible melting happened it would be a few centimeters at most well under half a meter it would not be until the half way melting point that the positive feed back loop really kicks in. It has happened at least twice in the past that both Antarctica and Greenland have been ice free and sea levels were 200+ meters higher we currently are nowhere close to the maximum possible sea level throughout geological history.
He takes a lot of days off.

Our “First Lady” is most deserving of her other half. Who led whom is now being questioned, but the US realizes this relationship is nothing but fishy.

I’m so happy for the dear First Couple. Everyone must be touched by the love between them. I am getting all teary eyed. I just wish I could be near there so I could cheer and maybe light a candle at the nearest Catholic Church.
I believe, if all of the ice where to melt (which it won’t ) the ocean rise would be 60 meters.
