These two drugs are an anti-inflammatory and a protease inhibitor. Both of these are seeing a lot of activity in big pharma, including some trials in progress. Ivermectin has also been shown to act as a protease inhibitor, and that might be the process that makes it a possibly effective treatment for coronaviruses.
