It will impact your computer security. If, what used to be impossible equations or random numbers to solve for computers that kept your computer safe, how can they make your computer safe when it takes a second for anything you could use to secure your computer to be broken?

Theyll push out new encryption standards or recommendations like going from AES 128 TO 265 or 512.

Certain classes of algorithms are not sped up by executing on quantum processors. There’s lots of encryption that is not going to be broken by quantum computing anytime soon. Not the current stuff that is being used, but ciphers are mostly substituteable.
