A friend of mine could not get cable internet in his area so opted for Satellite internet.

This was in 2001 (20 years ago) when Elon was pretending to found PayPal.

Granted, it was expensive and slow back then but it worked and was his only option.

Current satellite internet is just sad. One of my brothers has a satellite/microwave repeater connection, streaming is not an option except late at night, with data caps to put a cherry on the mess. I’ve gotten as much as 330 down, with typical speeds in the 100-200 range, with no data caps so far.
