Actually, it is fat that easily adds fat, while in one can eat a diet somewhat high in both - along with greens and protein - if such a one works it off so that they do not become overweight, and even can stay under weight. Not that such a diet is to be preferred but it is the sedentary overeating lifestyle that is really deadly, resulting in diet craze. Pray to God in Christ to not gain life, and for Him to bring you daily to people you can help, to make a positive change in their lives for time and eternity, and get out regularly to serve.

Type of fat makes a difference. My husband has been on a keto/carnivore diet for 3 years and the only fat he eats is animal/natural but a lot of it. He lost 65 lbs, and his glucose, bp, cholesterol and all other blood work numbers are now perfect. Before he could never get his cholesterol numbers down even with meds. His heart is great, arteries are clean, allergies are minimal, energy through the roof, and he quit snoring at night.
In the beginning his doctor was skeptical, and concerned, and had him come in every 3 months for blood work. The diet initially raised his cholesterol, but after a year, it dropped substantially. 3 years later this same doctor says to keep doing what he’s doing.
My son went on it as well, but he has to take some time off of it because he looses too much weight. His blood work numbers also are great, and his migraines and epilepsy are better controlled. He is on 3 weeks, off 1.
I tried it but cannot because of a health condition, but I do limit my starches to 1 potato or 1 cup rice/day. I have seen benefits from that.
The American food pyramid is upside down if you ask me.
