“I’ve had a company issued cellphone for many years now. Yes, it’s more for the company’s benefit than mine but I’m okay with that. It goes right back to them once I retire”

I retired a year and a half ago (actually I got pissed off and quit after 20 years) but the first thing I had to do was get my own cell phone. I had a company cell phone for 20 years. A lot of people had a personal phone and a company phone but I never saw the need for that.

I had an iPhone while I was still employed. We changed carriers because our initial carrier (ATT) had a dead-zone where I worked. It was really annoying... Verizon had much better coverage. We are still satisfied subscribers.

I prefer my own phone. My son is a Major in the Army JAG Corps. He has his personal phone and one issued by the Army for business use. He carries both... I'm glad I only need one...
