Yep, that was a pretty stupid and polyannish belief of the author. Crocs and alligators are not hope but are death by being an apex predator.
Within their environment, a mature croc and gator are virtually invincible. The primary predator of smaller crocs and gators are larger crocs and gators.

Darwinism coming to that dude very soon if not already.

One of the key Australian thinkers of our time, she challenged the way we look at the natural world. It took her the rest of her life to fully reckon with the experience of being prey. Well, thinkers are not really what Australia is known for anyway, as this story proves. This type of projection ("I'm good and kind, so everything else must be good and kind as well") replacing common sense is a big part of the problem with the loony left.

They are not brutes, they are just animals doing the same things we do, killing and eating to stay alive and breed.
Granted, I don’t want to be eaten by a crocodile or any other large carnivorous animal, therefore it is my responsibility to know about such animals and be well enough armed to fight them off if necessary.
I have been a hunter all my life, was Marine for 5 years (3 of those in the RVN), and there have been times when I know for certain that I have been stalked by other hunters.
AND THEY WEREN’T ALL THE HUMAN TYPE!
