Why would he want to? I agree it was wrong to kick him off...

Absolutely. Because as soon as things started getting a little controversial in the run up to elections, they'd ban him again, and his opponents would use that ban to argue he's unfit.

Personally, I'd prefer that Trump not run in 2024, but rather use his influence to push someone younger who will advance conservative policies without unapologetically. But either way, Trump shouldn't give them Facebook the satisfaction of thinking they are in control of his fate.

No chance he is allowed to rejoin before 2024. They banned him until Jan. 2023, until right after the midterm. This is no doubt to try and minimalize his impact. I guarantee if he announces a run in 2024 FB will extend his ban until, at least, after the election. If he is undecided, they will extend his ban “just in case”.
