I have been wondering if they use the same crap they sell us.
Since that's what they've got in plenty, probably.
Memory-dependent anecdote -- GE had a problem some years ago with clock radios (it would almost have to have been some years ago) and alarm clocks being returned as nonfunctional, and they found them to be counterfeits. They traced the freight back to a plant in southern China which even had a phony GE sign on the side of it.
