The BLM/Antifa storm troopers were ready to start up the riots again with just a word from the top echelons of the RAT party. Pelosi was threatening to drag Trump out of the White House. Any action at that point in time would have been political suicide for Trump, and maybe even actual suicide.

While you do make some good points that would be happening if Trump continued in the same manner. Here’s what he could have done if he had the goods:

He could have met privately with Pence and other R leaders to show the evidence and then coordinate a unified strategy to bring this to the public. Instead he called out Pence in public and alienated many Rs with the process that unfolded (even before Jan 6) that at best seemed haphazard.
