The reactor can run off used uranium waste. USA has over eighty thousand tons of spent nuclear fuel in storage facilities around the USA.
We could solve our used Uranium waste problem and be green at the same time.

The thing with “fast reactors” is they are “breeder reactors” they produce more fuel than they consume. Unfortunately most of the fuel they produce is Plutonium 239, not fun stuff.
