Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough has effectively ruled that only one more automatic budget reconciliation is permissible this year, dealing a blow to Democrats who previously thought they would have two more chances to sidestep Republicans in advancing President Biden's agenda.
MacDonough ruled that a revision to the 2021 budget resolution cannot be automatically discharged from the Senate Budget Committee, meaning Democrats would need at least one Republican on the 11-11 panel to vote with them.
The bombshell ruling effectively means Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) will be able to use only one more reconciliation vehicle to pass Biden's key legislative priorities this year. He will not be able to divide up the $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan and the $1.8 trillion American Families Plan, as well as Biden's calls to expand Medicare and lower the price of prescription drugs, into multiple reconciliation packages, as was envisioned only a few weeks ago.

They will get help from their Assistant Democrats across the aisle.
Nope
One of the liberal rinos can vote to give them additional votes that bypass republicans
and they will
You can bet the farm on it. There’s a lot of dough to grab.
By all intent and purposes, Biden's agenda is pretty much stalled.
Those 2 RINOs (again, on the Senate Budget Committee) are still fiscally conservative. They just hate Trump but they're not going to support more out of control spending.
Dow futures will love this. Gold not so much.
She’ll get whacked like Seth Rich. Or a republican will “reach across the aisle” and be a “Maverick”.
they will get bought off, one will
they will be threatened to be targeted hard for their re-elections
YEP maverick MITTENS, BANK ON IT!!!
They will not. Again, there are only 2 RINOS on the Senate Budget Committee: Toomey (Who is retiring anyway) and Romney. As much of a slimeball Romney is, he’s not going to allow passage of bills that will cause massive inflation. If he does give the Dems another reconciliation, he should be immediately excommunicated from the GOP.
Again, COMMITTEE. This is the Senate Budget Committee, not the overall Senate itself. Romney and Toomey are still conservative on spending and they are not going to approve bills that will add to the debt and cause runaway inflation.
This reeks of an excuse to me! The democrats fear losing the house and the senate if they follow a leftist agenda. So... they use a scapegoat to blame for not getting it done. I hate politics AND politicians. LIES... LIES... LIES...
Very well could be. In politics EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS 4D KABUKI.
Yeah, sure. If you can’t trust Toomy and Romney who can you trust? Lol
Romney will. Mark it.
I agree, the Republic might be saved ...
EXCLUSIVE: One day after President Biden scrapped former President Trump’s "Remain in Mexico" program, the pressure is building for the Department of Housing and Urban Development to ax its policy changes that make it easier for illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer-funded housing vouchers.
Sen. Pat Toomey, a Republican from Pennsylvania who is the ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, sent a letter to HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge on Wednesday urging her to immediately reinstate previously waived regulations that ensure the vouchers go to U.S. citizens and legal residents – not illegal immigrants – as required by law.
"HUD’s waiver of its long-standing regulations that are designed to prevent illegal immigrants from receiving housing vouchers is inconsistent with President Biden’s instructions to his administration about the proper use of taxpayer funds," Toomey wrote.
Biden’s tax and spend agenda.

Was what previous President did. Now its Biden’s tax and destroy agenda.
RINOS are good at holding the line on spending.
