China is still overly populated. Too many people and not enough jobs. Way too many people living in poverty. Letting families have 3 children gives more freedom yet the prospect for lives lost in war is scary.

I have four and I dont find it expensive at all. In fact I have been waiting 16 years now for it to get expensive as I was “warned” about over and over and over.
I think it was all a psyop to trick people into having less children.
The more kids we had the easier it got! (because the older ones helped with the younger)
I still do not know why the USA needs more children. There is currently a shortage of housing. More immigrants means more welfare state spending.
White people don’t want children. The demographic future belongs to China.
The fact that the CCP determines how many kids you may have sums up everything that is wrong with China.

I’m a boomer, but my child-rearing days are over. Grew up in a big family of 7 kids when it was normal.
My point is that when you look at the birthrate in almost the entire developed world, we’re barely replacing each person, let alone creating more.
Africa and the Muslim countries still have high birth rates. South Asian countries like Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia used to but in the past 20 years ago are barely at replacement level. Once N’Bambo and Fatima realize they can spend more money on motorbikes, TVs, makeup and fancy clothes with fewer kids, they’ll do so, too.
This is not just talk or opinion, but the statistics prove it out.
How about they leave it up to, and son home all Chinese from the US? Call it a win-win

We need more children so we don’t need more immigrants. We have the same number of legal immigrants as we have the number of murdered pre-born children. About 60 million.
We need children because we have an economic system that has the young paying taxes to support the old & sick.

I agree. I have 4 children and raising them wasn’t expensive at all. Except when it came to college. I’ve had one or two kids in college every year from 2014 to today and continuing on to 2027. But we saved early on for public undergrad with 529s that did very well over the last 10 years (only losses were from 2008).
It won’t work, because they’ve created a culture of infertility for two generations. AND they’re oppressing the groups that could maintain replacement level fertility - Christians and Muslims.
They’re sterilizing Muslims with three or more kids even when it was legal while sending them to the camps to be “reeducated”.
And now they’re sending Christians to the camps, though that is a group that might have replacement level fertility or greater if left alone.
