“She expected to find a job with a salary of 35,000 yuan (S$7,200) per month, her résumé showed.”
She is fishing for sympathy, and a job.
Those are in Singapore dollars ... but still a decent living at ~US$5,600.
And not near as stressful as working in a Chinese factory at any level.
